Build Some Butterflies

We are feeling crafty here at Time2Gossip today and we have been inspired by this photo of hand crafted butterflies, pictured while out for a walk at the weekend:

This reminded me of the only bit of art we really want! and it kinda fits with my blog - yes it's from Gossip Girl.

These fantastic designs are the work of artist, Paul Villinski - He creates artwork from crushed beer cans from the streets of New York.

So we have decied to have a go at building one of these, its time to start drinking a lot of fizzy drinks!

Let me knoe your thoughts on the artwork

The Only Way Is Essex

With the end of the season we are already missing the fake tans and the drama but here are some things to keep you looking reem!

Lauren's Way
Get the Essex look with Lauren's way tan and lashes!

So yes, most of the Essex ladies have their own ranges out…but Laurens is actually really good and perfect to get that Essex look - so have a look at the products the Time2Gossip team have tried:

Gradual Tan - RRP £11.95
This definitely beats the Doves and Johnson’s gradual Tan as you can barley tell the difference. But I do suggest using a tanning mitt and although it is a body moisturiser you will get streaks if it’s not applied well but overall a good tan slightly on the orange side but that’s what I was going for!

Self Tanning Bronzing Lotion – RRP £15.95
From having a peek inside the bottle its dark! Already getting excited about my Essex tan J and it provides an instant bronzed glow, so no need to stay pale for long! This tan has a lingering smell of oranges making it the most yummy tan I have ever worn.

Tan Enhancing Mosituriser£13.95
This just gives your fake tan a little helping hand before tanning to make sure there is no build up on those dry areas and remember to use it in between your applications for a longer lasting tan.

Lauren’s Way Lashes£5.95
Now you have the tan you need the lashes and Laurens Way has that covered – I am usually a traditionalist and stick with the ‘SAFE’ girls aloud lashes but the Laurens Way lashes could turn out to be a fave. Adding length and definition these are a definite winner.

Laurens Way Luxury Lashes£5.95
The luxury Lashes are not as extravagant as the ‘lashes’ and don’t really suit me, but they are a bit shorter and blunt so Lauren has tapped into a niche as I have not seen too many lashes like these ones – I am sure there are many people who love them!

So you want to look like Lydia

Lydia Bright always looks glamorous and with this dress it shows – wearing, brand new fashion label BESELF – The Erieta Dress looks fabulous.

Smooch it up

Smooch Cosmetics is used by Jessica Wright from TOWIE and here are some key staples to get you started – and so cheap prices start from £4.95

And I know she is not in TOWIE anymore but I just love these shoes from Kandeeshoes!!!! The Limonade Booties

What are you doing for the 'Diamond Jubilee'?

With June right round the corner, it’s time for the festivities to start for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee - marking 60 years of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and Time2Gossip has gone to the heart of the Jubilee Celebrations to bring you some key things to do and wear:

What to eat - Jubilee Afternoon Tea in the English Tea Rooms

This is the first time I have attended a Rocco Forte Hotel (a collection of 13 luxury hotels and resorts located in cultural destinations across Europe & The Middle East.) And it certainly won’t be the last - Brown's Hotel London part of the Rocco Forte Hotel group, is the oldest hotel in London - so full of heritage for this special occasion.

So start your celebrations with the Jubilee Afternoon Tea for two in the quintessentially British and charming English Tea Room.

When we arrived we got greeted by a glass of Champagne and then waded out way through a manu of 20 different types of tea (two of which are Brown’s own blend) I had the blackcurrant and hibiscus tea which was one of the best teas I have ever tasted!

We then got greeted with a three tier stand filled with regal pastries such as a Crown Jewels Macaroon, Battenberg cake, lemon posset teacup, pistachio cake and boozy trifle as well as the traditional offerings of sandwiches and yummy scones.

The price of Jubilee Afternoon Teas is £39.50 per person or £49.50 with a glass of Ruinart Brut Champagne. The special Jubilee themed afternoon tea runs from the 1st to 10th June in Mayfair, which is central to the excitement that will be surrounding the Jubilee. Brown’s also offer a jubilee accommodation package, Jubilee cocktails in The Donovan Bar and a diamond pedicure.

Time To Tan

With the sun coming out at last! It is time for all us ladies to look lovely and tanned and recently the T2G team has been using Famous Dave’s!

The T2G team has a lot of love for Famous Dave’s, as it was brilliant and might I add it lasts for ages! - I mean I can still see a huge difference a week later.

What was tried:

Famous Dave's Tanning Mousse, Gold Edition

With the funky Famous Dave’s tanning mitt, I got to work. The mousse has a green tint with gold hints inside – so the gold edition name was very fitting. As you put the tan on there is an instant colour, so you know exactly where you are applying the tan - for a bit of a novice it’s great. The mousses glides on evenly and effortlessly.
Famous Dave's Tanning Mousse Gold Edition, £28.99 (Boots)

The Result:

An all-over streak free tan, producing a lovely long-lasting colour, which was not too dark! It also has lovely smell a bit like coconut.

Famous Dave's Spray Tan, Medium-Dark

After using the Tanning Mousse and loving it, I was a little apprehensive to start using a different one. But if you want to go up another notch on the colour - this is perfect. This tan is loaded with moisturises, tan enhancers and skin smoothers.
Famous Dave's Spray Tan, Medium-Dark, £27.99 (Boots)

The Result:

A darker, streak free tan that smells delicious - definitely a salon-quality tan.

Famous Dave's Self Tan Wipes

This is a definite must for light packers and frequent flyers - these wipes are fast drying, highly convenient self tan wipes.
Famous Dave's Self Tan Wipes, £9.99 / 5 pack (Superdrug)

The Result:

A perfect quick tan for beauties on the go!

Tops Tips for the Perfect Tan:

1. Exfoliate well for the smoothest coverage.
2. Apply moisteriser on dry, harder skin before application.
3. Apply using long, overlapping circular motions.
4. Wash hands with warm soapy water after use.

So has anyone else tried Famous Dave’s? We would love to hear your fave tanning products :-)
