Bridal Shoes you wont want hidden

Sophia Webster announced the launch of her inaugural bridal collection last week and the campaign images caught my eye on Instagram.

Sophia Webster has added her unique and ‘cool’ style to the collection adding a signature of ‘WIFEY FOR LIFEY’ slogan on the soles of each pair. The seven signature shoe styles and her iconic speech bubble clutch have been created in a romantic palette of baby pink, ice blue and ivory.

When talking about the inspiration for the bridal collection, Sophia, stated "When I first decided to do bridal shoes I was not yet married so thinking about what I would wear for my wedding was a great starting point! As the collection was being brought to life I imagined all sorts of women slipping into the shoes and feeling like queens for that special day. With that in mind I wanted to use really feminine touches like satin uppers, crystal heels and gem stones, all in delicate tones that would work with classic dresses but add a little flourish.”

Sophia Webster Bridal Collection prices start from £350 and will be available for purchase at sophiawebster.com and Net-a-porter.com.

Easter Baking: Chick Krispie Nests

With Mother’s Day over, Easter is well and truly upon us and I thought it was time for some seasonal baking.

Now these are for very advanced bakers – ONLY JOKING they may be super simple, but they are very delicious and quite cute if you add a chick or two.

·         100g Rice Krispies
·         100g of milk chocolate - my preference is Dairy Milk
·         50g Butter
·         3 tbsp Golden Syrup
·         Lots of Mini Eggs

Equipment used:

·         Mixing bowl in fitting spring colours from Wayfair
·         Cupcake cases

·         Little chicks to decorate

This recipe is pretty easy to follow using the pictures so I will keep it short and sweet:

1. Measure everything out.

2. Melt the chocolate, butter & syrup in the microwave or use a heatproof bowl
over a pan of hot water - keep stirring until the chocolate becomes smooth.

3. Mix the melted chocolate with the Rice Krispies in a large mixing bowl like my Wayfair one so every little krispie is coated.

4. Use two spoons to place the mixture in 12 cupcake cases.

5. Top with mini eggs - as many as you can fit on…

6. Leave to set in the fridge

7. EAT

Spring is here

Spring is slowly peaking through the grey clouds so its time for a spring time post in which I can take out my beautiful pastel Kate Spade handbag which I purchased in Houston, Texas and take my new Duo boots for a spin.

The Duo boots I am wearing are from a fantastic new brand called Duo that tailors shoes to fit not only your shoe size but your legs as well - I struggle with boots as if they are too big around the calf I end up looking like bambi!

I am currently wearing Metta which are a lovely red brown, riding boot which go fabulous with jeans, I now just need a horse.

Boots: Duo
Hat: BCBG
Necklace: Kate Spade
Jumper: Lands' End
Jeans: Hollister
Handbag: Kate Spade
