Pay Day Dreams: Monnier Freres

So every time pay day comes around I dream of the items I will spend all my money on before it disappears like a poof of smoke on bills and food - anyone else get the same feeling?
A website I have just been introduced to MONNIER Freres which holds a huge selection of designer accessories with bags, jewellery, sunglasses, scarves and much more. MONNIER Freres holds some of the best designers and with London Fashion Week over I can coo over the A/W staples that have already hit the runway.

My favourite items are below, which ones yours??

1. Long Collar in Marmot Fur - A fur or faux far staple is always required during the colder months; this one by Yves Salomon is dreamy!
2. Burberry Scarf - This iconic scarf in red has the classic Burberry print and goes great with a casual outfit.
3. Tribeca Bucket Bag - I have owned DKNY bags before and they are great quality and this bucket bag looks like it could fit my life in it.
4. Drew mini chain bag - Everything in miniature was in last season and its sticking around, this Chloe Drew is the one!
5. Gemma Quartz Pendant - A timeless quartz necklace is a subtle statement - Chloe to a tee.
6. LG Susanna Brit Bag - This velvet bag looks divine; Burberry is featuring quite a bit on my favourite list!
7. Reversible Print Scarf - This reversible Burberry scarf is a lot lighter than the fur and perfect to make a sophisticated statement in silk.
8. Small Bucket Drawstring Soleil Bag 3.1 Phillip Lim comes to the rescue with an autumnal bag is a dark purple hue.
9. Handbag Pom Pom - If you’re a fan of the Jenner and Kardashian clan then you have seen a whole host of Pom Poms on their designer handbags. This one from Sophie Hulme will keep you smiling with googly eyes star glasses.

London Fashion Week: Fashion Scout, Collate London & Will Broome

With a London Fashion Week day ahead of me it took me a lot longer to get ready from my usual 20 minutes. At least I was prepared and had done my makeup and chosen a suitable outfit for running around all day, you can see the outfit and makeup deets below, as you can see there are two pairs of shoes but that is because I changed to heels half way through!

Makeup Look:

Primer: Rodial | Foundation: By Terry Light Click Brush | Concealer: Mac Concealer | Highlighter: Topshop | Bronzer: Topshop | Eyebrows: Benefit | Eyeshadow: Topshop | Lips: Clarins

Outfit Look:

Top: Miss Selfridge | Skirt: Topshop | Shoes: Lacoste | Shoes: River Island | Accessories: House of Florrie, Trollbeads

My first event of the day was to check out the new collection from Henry Holland at Debenhams in collaboration with illustrator Will Broome. The event was held and the always beautiful venue Ham Yard Hotel and Will Broome was on hand customising funky little clutch bags. I got a little bunny rabbit which is super cute 🐰. The collection is filled with illustrations typical of Broome and a perfect fit for Henry Holland making a lively and on trend collection. This was the perfect event to kick off the havoc of LFW.

Before attending my first show I had a few hours to kill so I headed to the #RefuelRoom hosted by Collate London at the Icetank Studios. Lots of brands had come together to create a zen experience to chill, charge your phone and meet some great brands. Simple Skincare were on hand to check how my skin was coping with LFW, as you can imagine it was quite dehydrated but simple have lots of products which are tailored to different skin problems so they said they would sort me out! I also created a personalised pack of Simple Skincare wipes with an illustrator on hand doing some lovely calligraphy for the collection in collaboration with Holly Fulton (Simple X Holly Fulton), an amazing fashion designer creating a perfect collaboration for LFW. These limited edition wipes are available from Superdrug.

I then sipped some ice tea from Amazitea while my phone charged and took a look around the beautiful decor, Collate has transformed the Ice Tank studios into a bloggers paradise (check out more images below). With my phone charged up to 70% I got a quick fix to my hair from Priv, you can call on these fab ladies anytime with the app for hair do's and spa treatments in the comfort of your home or hotel room. I got some soft curls put through the ends of my hair with a sleek finish to the top, this is one of my fave hair styles to date. I then got the chance to have a look around the new collection from River Island and choose these 70's inspired boots to finish off my look for the next show, aren't they dreamy!!

Next I took myself down to Fashion Scout at Freemasons Hall for Ex15IT to welcome the collection from The Swedish School of Textiles SS16 catwalk show. The show had extreme artistic flair with outfits made more to wow the audience rather than could actually be worn out n about but it provided a good show with many photo worthy moments and showed that these students have some real talent ready to rival designers. One of the more bold designers was Sara Berg who projected emojis through her fashion.

After this I was pretty pooped and ready for a large glass of wine so ordered a cab via GETT to get me home (GETT it ?!) Hope you had a lovely fashion week! Remember to follow me on snapchat as I did cover a lot of LFW on there. Username: Time2Gossip.

Review: By Terry Light-Expert Click Brush

Being a beauty blogger I am lucky enough to get invited to some amazing product launches  and I was thrilled to attend the By Terry Light-Expert Click Brush launch at Space NK in Sloane Square. By Terry is quite new to me in the makeup world, created by Terry de Gunzburg as it has quite a high price point. The brand epitomises "a radiant and flawless complexion" to achieve the look you want, which is a pretty darn good statement if you ask me.

The event was fuelled with pink champagne, purple macaroons and purple flowers which adorned the store, I was in Instagram heaven!

Taking a closer look at the Light-Expert Click Brush and kind of looks like an advanced Touché Éclat that might be because it’s from the creator of Touché Éclat. In my view this is a makeup bag essential so toss the Touché Éclat, it’s not only great to achieve a flawless look but a great highlighter to sculpt and smooth your skin.

It's all in the click...with liquid foundation appearing from 4 points in the kabuki brush (the colour I am using is: 2 Apricot Light), the I.M.C technology provides intensive mimetic camouflage hiding imperfections. The correcting light prisms do their stuff with mineral powders and leaves your skin feeling soft for a more nourished complexion.

The design is quite chunky but you do like to feel you are getting your money's worth, it’s a pretty shade of purple and the kabuki brush is soft with the 4 point application process being professional and precise.

A number of bloggers were concerned about cleaning the brush but there is an easy solution, you can remove the foundation so cleaning the foundation brush is easy.

The Light-Expert Click Brush from By Terry is £48 and available now.

A Little bit of A Pretty Little Thing

pretty little thing shirt dress
My plaid is seriously on point today with my OOTD, wearing my current fave shirt dress from Pretty Little Thing. This little number comes in navy as modeled by moi and in red, a warm shirt dress is a wardrobe essential this A/W and might even feature in one of my outfits for London Fashion Week. I have paired it with chunky heels for a more casual look but it also looks very sexual with thigh high boots!
For my accessories I have teamed a rose gold, House of Florrie watch with an old favourite bracelet from Stella & Dot and around my neck is a beautiful pendent from Juicy Couture that was a steal as it was so cheap, that’s American sales for you.

Restaurant Review: Brasserie Blanc

You may have seen Brasserie Blanc featured on the blog back in February on a feature about a day out with my mum and it definitely deserves to feature again as its one of my favourites with beautiful interior and Al Fresco dining options available when the weather is good. There are a few Brasserie Blanc’s, I ventured down to the one on Charlotte Street which is a vibrant area especially after work with a sea of suits and Jimmy Choo’s filling the bars and restaurants.

Tipple of Choice
Vidal Sauvignon Blanc, a lovely New Zealand tipple

Starters
Sourdough bread with unsalted butter, which goes perfect with a splash if olive oil.

Warm Squid & Chorizo Salad with chicory and an orange dressing.

Goats Cheese Parcel Tomato Chutney from the specials board.

Main Course
Slow cooked Lamb Shoulder and Roast Vegetables.

Fillet with pepper sauce, the char-grilled steaks are 39-day, dry-aged with french fries of course.

Sides
Green Beans
Dauphinoise potatoes

Dessert
Baked Alaska for two - the pictures here do not do this dessert justice, it was huge and flambéed in Cointreau right before your eyes.

Restaurant Review: Charlotte's Place

If you are hungry and want exceptional food then Charlotte's Place is the restaurant for you. With 5 courses of Michelin star quality food, it's perfect for a celebration, date or girly catch up - it's a great price as well. Charlotte's Place is based in Ealing Common, which is a little further than I would usually like to travel but the quality and photo perfect food was worth it.

Head chef, Lee Cadden is always introducing and testing new menu items, I was lucky enough to be there on the day of the beef bavette and I have said it must become a permanent staple on the menu. Not only was the bavette perfectly cooked but the smoked onions where just incredible.

As you can see I am quite passionate about this menu, the meal was incredible from the first sip of champagne to the ice cream. The food I ate at Charlotte's Place was:

Glass of Champagne
