Review: Fresh Couture by Moschino

When a fragrance comes from Moschino you know it will be fun and when the fragrance has a retro housewives concept it's even better! The creatives at Moschino have taken something that I despise - cleaning and turned into something couture that you love and want to take selfies with: Moschino Fresh.

The packaging and the cleaning spray bottle is everything and more for an ironic take on cleaning. The bottle is housed in an elegant coffret which you can not see inside made with quality material adding a luxurious touch of gold detailing. When you open the box you are surprised to see a cleaning bottle - genius!

By just looking at the bottle it's pretty impossible to guess what it will smell like except for maybe 'Fresh' but with top notes of Bergamot, Mandarin and Ylang Ylang you get an exotic and sparkling touch. As we delve deeper the sweet scent of Raspberry, White Peony and Osmanthus brings a touch of femininity to the scent. After a while the lingering scents are sensual Cedar Wood, White Patchouli and Ambrox. For a full bodied floral and woody fragrance. What more could a girl ask for?!

Moschino Fresh is available from Selfridges EDT 30ML £37 | EDT 50ML £54 | EDT 100ML £70

Dreaming of Summer with Lacoste

The UK has finally had a warmish day and I am trialing my 1st Spring / Summer perfume!

This new one is 'Eau De Lacoste' notes as the spirit of Lacoste capturing the simple sensuality of delicate flowers.

The Bottle

At first glance the bottle is very feminine going from glass to white with a very subtle silver Lacoste logo. The perfume inside looks slightly peachy and misty making you wonder about what the smell will be like. There is a simple peach tie just under the lid  with a small silver tag stating 'Lacoste' just in  case you forget where the perfume is from ;-)

The Smell

The initial smell is very refreshing and the smell of white cotton lingers for many hours with floral notes...

This very feminine fragrance is perfect for a Spring/Summer day to make you feel fresh and sweet.

The top notes in the fragrance are:
  • Juicy White Pineapple
  • Calabrian Mandarin
  • Calabrian Bergamot
  • Heart
  • Pineapple Flower
  • Rose
  • Orange flower
  • Jasmine Sambac
  • Base
  • Sandalwood
  • Vetyver
  • Vanilla
  • Peru Balsam

Cost

Prices  for 'Eau de Lacoste' start at £33 for 30ml - £60 for a 90ml bottle in the range there is also Body Lotion and Shower Gel

Perfume Review: Kim Kardashian - True Reflection

I have always quite enjoyed watching 'The Kardashians' and with Kim's new perfume collection and the impending launch of their clothing range 'Kardashian Kollection' in Dorothy Perkins I needed to get my hands on it!

So True Reflection is nicely named! and I love the fact that this perfume includes chocolate Orchid... which I can actually smell along with hints of coconut although the smell is not too sweet more sensual. The scent is quite strong so rub it in and it will last for hours.

This particular scent would be perfect for a romantic date to get seductive or night on the town!

So if you want to buy it get down to: Debenhams. (£30 for 50ml and £40 for 100ml)

Notes Of:

  • Citrusy Bergamot
  • Succulent Peach
  • Smooth Coconut Noir
  • Blooming Gardenia
  • Rich Patchouuli
  • Chocolate Orchid
  • Warm Woods
