Spring Denim Trends

When I was younger I hardly ever wore jeans, I am not sure why I just didn't like the way they looked maybe I just saw them as too casual after being in School uniform all day. Since my 20's denim jeans have made a permanent home in my wardrobe and become and essential staple in my weekly fashion choices. They make my curves look pretty darn good.

I thought I would talk about the only brand of jeans I ever wear ‘Topshop’ sharing my favourite style and some newbies that will be perfect for spring.

Topshop has such a diverse range with many shapes and sizes there are one for everyone from Jamie, Mom, Cropped, Leigh and Joni, you won’t be out of style with one of these.

1.  Say hello, to the MOTO Ecru Leigh Jeans. Leigh has been a favourite style of mine for a while and is one of Topshop’s most popular styles but I thought I would go out of my comfort zone for spring with a new colour. I would not usually go for cream but once on I fell in love but these are not a good in a white top! They are the perfect pair to wear with heels for a night out or a casual outing so I partnered them with some kitty flats and Topshop knit (similar one here) and was ready to hit the golf course but put on a pair of stilettos and I am ready for a night out. The Leigh is mid-rise with a skinny fit, not too skinny you have to move around to fit your body in though and the fraying at the bottom adds a stylish twist. The ecru fabric used means these are super soft and uses stretchy fabric so you can wear them all day long.  The MOTO Ecru Leigh Jean cost £38.

2.  Can we just take a moment to appreciate how amazing these jeans are...they have a freaking glitter flamingo and palm tree on them, getting me in the mood for a holiday. These jeans are based around the ‘Mom’ style jean from the MOTO range.  They are a great fit and feel super comfortable, maybe because they are made of pure cotton. The denim is a faded blue with a high waist to tuck any tum away with a tapered leg; you can also roll up the legs for a cooler style. These would go great with a pair of stilettos or my Lacoste LT Spirit Elite trainers. Partnered with a tight fitting top such as Topshop body. TheMOTO Flamingo Sequin Mom Jean cost £55.

3.     Add a bit of edge to your style with the MOTO Washed Black Raw Hem Joni Jeans. Compared to Leigh these are on another level of skinny and when I wear them I get so many compliments they really do hug the figure well. The washed black with a cut hem adds a bit of edge and with them being ultra-high rise a fun jumper (like this Joanie one) and a cami or tucked in shirt makes the outfit on point. The fabric is made from spray-on black denim with super stretchiness. The MOTO Washed Black Raw Hem Joni Jeans cost £40.

#LOVEYOURIMPERFECTIONS

Match.com are currently running the #LoveYourImperfections campaign you may have seen the sweet adverts of bad dancing and crazy laughing from singles looking for love. You maybe thinking why am I talking about Match.com as I have a boyfriend!? but I think its important to talk about our imperfections as they can sometimes get us down and stop people thinking positively about themselves so I wanted to share my imperfection with you.

"I am the first one to admit I am not the perfect girlfriend. I have many imperfections but it’s important to embrace and even celebrate them, my habits definitely won’t change and neither should other peoples as they make you who you are. My worst habit is that my mobile phone never leaves my side. It’s the first thing I check when I wake up and the last thing I look at before I go to sleep – I know it’s a bad habit but with running a blog I get emails all the time and social media never sleeps! #LoveYourImperfections."

Go on share your imperfection below!

Happy 5th birthday Topshop Beauty

Happy birthday Topshop Beauty, they have celebrated being 5 years old this year. Venturing away from fashion was a big risk but it was worth it and have grown a collection that goes from strength to strength. In celebration of this, Topshop Beauty has selected 5 of it's most in-demand products and shades from the past 5 years, I got to test three of these beauties out.

This limited edition collection of best sellers has been given a lick of new paint with new packaging and it's in my favourite colour, rose gold.

The lipsticks here are £8 in 'Nevada' a nude shade from 2013 and 'Beguiled' a wine shade from 2014.
There is also a Glow pot in 'polished' £9 -  I have used these glow pots before, part of the '70s inspired smoke & mirrors  A/W collection and from popularity this turned into a permanent staple. The glow pots are great to give your skin a boost if radiance especially with the new strobing trend hitting the UK.

You can purchase this collection in Topshop, John Lewis and Selfridges

In the pictures, my favourite Real Techniques brushes are featured using 301.

White dresses and old favourities

Dress: Topshop | Shoes: Topshop in beige | Sunglasses: Gucci from OCO | Handbag: Marc By Marc Jacobs from Nordstrom, similar one here ON SALE 40% off | Necklace: Accessorize | Cardigan: similar style here. | Nail Polish: Paul & Joe Beaute

Planning outfits for a holiday can take as long as the holiday itself! That's why it's nice to buy some new wardrobe staples and team them up with some old favourites. That's why on the blog today, I wanted to share an outfit I wore on a recent holiday to Berlin.

The something new from this outfit is the white pinafore dress. White is absolutely everywhere at the moment but do you not find that most of them are bloody see through which doesn't work out that well when you have your favourite Disney pants on! But now my wardrobe finally has something white with this pinafore dress from Topshop, it doesn't show a thing (they spent the extra few pennies on lining) the dress is extremely flattering with an overlay to give the illusion of a synced in waist and the detailing is just stunning. But my favourite part of this dress is the back, I don't have many things with an open back but this covers the bra strap then opens out.

If you have read my previous posts you will know that my Cinderella shoes as I like to call them are my favourites, they brighten up any outfit and I always get nice comments from strangers. For £28 they are a bargain I also have them in beige, they are the perfect Summer staple.

Moving on to my accessories, my new favourites are these beautiful Gucci sunglasses from OCO Glasses the go-to sunglasses shop. These Gucci sunglasses are so classic, I
I think I have fallen in love, the detail on the temple is lovely it has a strip of fabric with the Gucci logo simple and elegant finishes, if you’re wanting to make a designer purchase this summer go for these

Spring Look

After getting my first taste of sun in Lisbon last weekend I was in the mood to hunt down some Spring inspired items to tie me over till my next holiday.

Similar Mac ON SALE can be found here // Topshop Bikini can be found here // Lowe clutch handbag can be found here // Similar Summer denim dress can be found here // Topshop metallic sandals can be found here //

A mac is on top of my 'must buy' list for the summer, it's versatile nature is perfect for the English weather and adds a bit of Parisian chic to any outfit. The Topshop bikini enhances a tan with the florescent stitching and if you haven't had the best fitness regime so far the black colour has all the best slimming qualities you could want with a two piece.

Some other bikinis I am lusting over:

A clutch to match the bikini is a must this year! You will look fashionable around the poolside and enables you to easily transform a casual outfit ready for a on-trend lunch.

Similar clutches can be seen here:

Denim is taking over the UK at the moment and T2G is in love, let us know whats your number 1 denim staple?

The metallic heel is a great staple to finish off any outfit or to transform an outfit from day to night and the heel size is perfect for keeping your feet not feeling to sore.
