Time2Get My Hair Cut

The Price: Half a head of highlights starting from £65 / Cut & Blowdry starting from £37
Where2Buy: www.ginaconway.co.uk
The Gossip: Head to Gina Conway for a hair care experience, including massages and relaxing scents galore.

So my hair was a mess, lifeless and I have to admit, due to the harsh dark colour coming through my blonde ends my hair was starting to look greasy. But help was on hand back in my old home town at Gina Conway Lifestyle Salon and Spa!

This hair colour and cut was more of an experience than just a cut. The 'artist' as he coined his job title started off by talking about what I wanted to achieve. Then he explained that with hair colour there are no colour samples/swatches to show as they do not show off what the colour will actually look like - which is so true more salons need to take this attitude.

My hair felt like it was in safe hands after describing how I wanted to go back to being a blonde, the expert suggested adding some warm honey tones weaving through, which sounded lovely.

Before the foils were brought out, it was time to relax. I was asked to shut my eyes and choose between two aromatherapy scents, I believe I choose lavender to relieve stress. This was then used to aid a stress relief, head, neck and shoulder massage, at which time I closed my eyes and began to relax.

My hair is very thick so getting through my hair with foils took a while. But my stylist was a perfectionist so when it came to the cut the basics were completed while the hair was wet. Then the precision came when my hair had been blow dried straight, we kept the length and gave me a long sweeping fringe.

Check out the fianlised look a few days after, to showcase a more everyday look:
